Operational Focus
WEAT Sacco operates through three key approaches:
1.Sacco Activities: A deposit-taking, savings, and loaning platform open to all 500 Women and Youth Groups in Isiolo.
2.Community Development: A grassroots initiative focused on fostering micro-enterprises and promoting peace. To enhance returns for shareholders and depositors, the Sacco invests in honey production, fodder cultivation, animal fattening, and livestock trading.
3.Environmental Conservation: A champion of rangeland rejuvenation and climate change mitigation. WEAT Sacco has introduced a Village Green Conservancy approach, aiming to plant over 1,000,000 trees across 40 villages in Isiolo. This initiative is carried out with the support of women and youth savings groups to promote ecosystem health.
